The NLCR offers group training sessions and internships to the professional public.
Training / tours for groups
The NLCR offers group tours for high schools, colleges, and similar organisations, with the goal of helping participants learn about the NLCR's services and resources.
Tours can cover the following topics:
- introduction to the basic functions of the NLCR
- conditions for using the basic services of the NLCR (registration, on-site and off-site services, reference and interlibrary loan services)
- basic orientation in catalogues, digital libraries, and other resources of the NLCR
- familiarization with the reading rooms in the Klementinum to get a basic idea of where things are located
The tour takes place in the Klementinum. It lasts about 90 minutes and combines presentations with a guided walk around the NLCR's premises.
According to the agreement with the instructor (with the school), the length and program of the tour can be modified to suit the needs of a specific class, year, or study group.
If you are interested in a tour, please contact us.
Internships for professionals
The NLCR also arranges internships for interested persons from the Czech Republic and abroad.
