Printed or digital copies can be ordered from the NLCR collections. If the documents are not in the NLCR collection, registered users of the NLCR can order a copy of them through interlibrary loan services.
Written orders can be made for printed and digital copies from the NLCR collection, and copies from the collections of Czech and foreign libraries can be ordered through interlibrary services.
There is a charge for making copies to order; *prices* vary according to the type and format of the copy and the service chosen. In addition to the price of the copies, additional charges may apply (preparation of the original, searching for the specific pages required, packaging, postage, etc.).
The NLCR's Rules for the Provision of Reprographic Services govern the provision of reprographic services. The NLCR provides reprographic services in accordance with general legal regulations (Copyright Act, Library Act, Higher Education Act, Criminal Code, etc.) or with the terms of contractual licences.
Copies are made only for the client's personal use, the legal entity's internal use, non-profit teaching, or scientific research. The PR and Marketing Department must be consulted in advance before using copies for other purposes.
Copies from the NLCR Collections
Users can order printed or digital copies from the NLCR collections:
- in person in the *Reading Rooms* and *Main Hall* by filling in an order form (especially for documents that cannot be copied by self-service)
- by e-mail (reference@nkp.cz)
- in writing to the *Department of Reference and Interlibrary Loan Services*
- by filling in a special form
- through the *EOD* service - digitisation of selected titles on demand
- via *the ZISKEJ service (EDD)*
- It is not necessary to be a registered user of the NLCR to order copies remotely.
The NLCR may make digital copies only if they do not violate the Copyright Act or applicable licence agreements. The NLCR also reserves the right to refuse an order due to the item's physical condition. For persons with visual impairments or other reading disabilities, the NLCR provides digital copies in cooperation with the *Czech Blind United*.
The processing time for ordered copies is specified in the *Library Rules*. The time required for processing the order, dispatching the requested library unit, communication with the ordering party, including payment and possible transport must be added to the processing time.
Ordered copies can be picked up at the NLCR (payment on the spot in cash or by card) or sent by post to the address indicated (usually payment in advance on the basis of an invoice). Digital copies can be transmitted via a secure electronic service or EOD.
The terms and conditions for providing copies through the EOD and EDD ZISKEJ services are governed by the services' own rules.
Copies from the collections of other libraries
If a book or article is not in the NLCR, registered users of the NLCR can order a copy from another library via *interlibrary services*.
