A digital library of Czech web resources dedicated to archiving the national web as part of the country's cultural heritage.
Webarchive archives internet resources and addresses their long-term preservation and accessibility. It performs flat archiving of the Czech domain, selective archiving of web resources chosen according to selection criteria, and thematic archiving focused on current topics or events. It negotiates with publishers to obtain rights to make archival copies available. The entire archive is accessible from designated computers in the building of the NLCR; archival copies of licensed sources are freely available. Such resources have a cataloguing record in the Czech National Bibliography. Webarchive is dedicated to scientific and research projects in web archiving, and since 2007, it has been a member of IIPC, the International Internet Preservation Consortium.
