The Union Music Catalogue collects information about historical musical sources preserved in the Czech Republic

The Union Music Catalogue contains information on collections of historical musical sources preserved in the Czech Republic dating from the 17th to the 20th century. It has been built since 1965 in the music department of the NLCR. The catalogued manuscript and printed sources come not only from the collection of the NLCR in Prague but also from the collections of archives, museums, religious institutions, etc. The cataloguing records contain relevant information of a music-historical, bibliographical, and local history nature.

Evidence and research of Czech historical collections is now being developed and implemented within the framework of the Répertoire International des Sources Musicales - RISM project.
