Database of documents published in the Czech Republic.

The Czech National Bibliography (CNB) contains records of documents published in the Czech Republic. These include books, periodicals, graphic documents, sheet music, cartographic documents, sound recordings, and electronic resources published from 1801 to the present (in relative completeness, records from 1901 onwards, and special documents from the 1990s onwards). The database is updated continuously; records are in MARC 21 format and are currently processed under Resource Description and Access (RDA) rules. The older records were created by converting printed CNB notebooks and processed according to the rules in force at the time of their creation. CNB records contain a unique identifier - CNB Number (MARC format, field 015). The database is also available as open data.

Since 1997, the CNB has been supplemented by records of regional libraries and, since 2019, by records of fiction catalogued by the Municipal Library in Prague. Since 2007, the database has been a co-production with the Moravian Library and the Scientific Library in Olomouc.
