Webarchive Department

Responsible for the search, protection, and access to Czech web resources. Sets acquisition policy and negotiates with publishers to grant rights to make these resources available. Describes selected sources for inclusion in the catalogue of the NLCR and the Czech National Bibliography. Collaborates with other departments to provide operations and technologies for retrieving and archiving the “Czech Web” and for long-term access to archived content. Ensures compliance with legislation in its processes and is involved in the proposal of legislative changes. Involved in research and development in national and international projects and initiatives in the field of web archiving.
