Responsible for registration of users and receipt and issue of off-site loans. Provides basic advisory and information services. It permits non-registered users access to digital libraries and offers space for short-term study.
Per the Library Rules of the NLCR, the department provides off-site borrowing services from the Universal Library Fund (ULF) and the Study Fund (SF), provides professional and methodological information about the funds and services of the NLCR, and develops individual and collective forms of work with users. Keeps records of registered users of the NLCR and manages the automated borrowing system. Keeps records of loan losses, handles their reimbursement, and provides documents for their recovery through legal means. As part of the service upgrade, it is creating support for self-service returns via the “biblioschránka” (book box), managing the remote registration process, and assisting users (especially non-registered users) in accessing digitised documents. Provides self-service copying facilities and arranges reprographic and other custom copying services. Manages the central cash desk for NLCR users. Contributes to the content of the ULF and SF.
