Provides technical support for the central information systems of the NLCR and manages its IT systems.

Ensures the operation of internal and external ICT systems and digital document collections. Its principal activities include service availability and maintenance, controlling the efficient use of IT resources, and collaborating on the strategic development of IT and enterprise architecture.

  1. User Support Department

    Manages user profiles and accounts, access rights, and mobile computing equipment.
    Provides support for all end-user devices and related processes, including consultation and instruction. Responsible for administrating user profiles and accounts, access rights, end devices, and mobile computing equipment. Oversees compliance with the safe use of computer technology; ensures maintenance of end devices.

  2. ICT Operations Department
    Manages the technological part of the IT infrastructure.
    Provides the infrastructure in NLCR data centres, the central server platform, the central data storage system, and the computer and telephone network with their services. Plans and ensures processes for the uninterrupted delivery of computer network, system platform, and data centre services, as well as the renewal, development, and changes to IT infrastructure. Responsible for backup and recovery of existing and new data.

  3. SW Applications Department

    Technical and methodological support of the Kramerius library system.
    Provides technical and methodological support for the operation of the Kramerius library system. Monitors system uptime and ensures capacity planning, implementing configuration changes, and troubleshooting potential problems. Participates in specific planning and application development and conducts institutional research on the application of machine learning to the NLCR.
