The department is dedicated to cataloguing documents, managing catalogues and special collections.
Carries out ongoing and retrospective cataloguing of documents; researches historical Slavic collections, and makes special collections accessible. Creates national authority records and manages the electronic catalogue of the Slavonic Library, as well as the paper catalogues and special card catalogues. Responsible for the participation of the Slavonic Library in the ObalkyKnih.cz (Book Covers) project.
